There's a particular kind of magic in one raven finding another. The whole folklore collection, every witch, wizard and woodland door, has found its roost at Turquoise Raven Art Gallery.

We're excited and honored to partner with our local gallery. The folklore collection and more are on view in their space, to browse and buy in person.

A crisp, grounding tribute to the rugged canyonlands. We hand-forage wild Big Sagebrush (Artemisia tridentata) and whole juniper berries, branches, and resin tears from the valleys at the base of Mesa Verde. We steep these high-desert botanicals in a deep oil infusion before grinding them directly into the soap batter. This creates a beautifully textured, creamy lather that smells exactly like a sun-drenched canyon after a fresh mountain rain.

Our craft

Rooted in the farm and the forest

Every bar is hand-poured and cut one at a time. On our own USDA-certified farm we grow herbs and botanicals, including golden, skin-loving calendula and fragrant lavender. Plantain and yarrow have gone crazy wild in the garden, and we harvest juniper and sage from our land. What we don't grow, we forage from the forest. Everything is dried slowly and infused by hand. There are no fillers and no shortcuts, and no batch is bigger than what fits on one studio table.

From the mountains

Forest magic

A walk through the mountain woods to find amanita muscaria where it grows, the red-capped toadstool of fairy tales and forest magic.

"RavenWood started small, and it's still small. I wanted soap made the way I'd actually want it — real ingredients, nothing to hide. Plain bars needed a story, so now every batch gets a witch, a wizard, or a door into the woods. I'm a mycologist at heart, endlessly drawn to what grows beneath the forest floor. On our USDA-certified farm, mushrooms grow alongside the calendula, lavender and herbs that go into everything I make. Beyond the garden, the mountains are my wild apothecary. I spend hours foraging old man's beard, juniper and whatever the season offers."
